Rising star vocalist Annie Majin likes to tell stories through her songs. With a charmingly youthful yet powerful, moving voice, Annie has impressed audiences across the country since breaking onto the London jazz scene in recent years.
With a particular interest in theatrical composers of the 20th Century, Annie draws inspiration from the sounds and techniques of musical theatre, blending this seamlessly with traditional Jazz to capture the essence of Postmodern storytelling.
Annie has taken her unique and carefully constructed shows to venues across the UK, such as The Crazy Coqs, Green Note, Twinwood Festival, The Jazz Sanctuary, Battersea Jazz Festival, Nightjar, 28-50 By Night, and many more.
Her recent projects include solo shows such as ‘Beginner’s Luck’, which demonstrated her range both as a charismatic vocalist and as an expert storyteller, with a selection of hidden gems from 20th century composers such as Harold Arlen, Cy Coleman and Stephen Sondheim.
